This new role as a security consultant is part of a broader, more sophisticated national strategy. It runs parallel to Ukraine’s efforts to become a defense exporter, with Zelensky confirming that the US is set to begin talks on purchasing Ukrainian drones.

A delegation will soon be in Washington to finalize an agreement that will build on an existing $90 billion support framework.
