Anthropic, creator of the Claude chatbot, has successfully raised $30 billion in new funding, establishing a valuation of $380 billion. This represents more than a doubling from the company’s September valuation of $183 billion.
The funding round was spearheaded by GIC and Coatue Management, two prominent institutional investors. The deal ranks among the largest private capital raises in corporate history, demonstrating the massive financial commitments in the AI industry.
The company reports impressive financial results, with annualized revenue of $14 billion. Anthropic has maintained tenfold annual revenue growth for three consecutive years, positioning it among the fastest-growing companies globally.
Claude Code, an AI coding assistant that became generally available in May 2025, has been instrumental in recent revenue expansion. The product has gained strong market acceptance among enterprises looking to enhance programming capabilities.
Despite significant operational expenses, Anthropic forecasts improving financial metrics. The company expects cash burn to decline to approximately one-third of revenue in 2026 and just 9% by 2027, with profitability targeted for 2028.
