The tragic incident unfolded early Tuesday morning in Frederick, Maryland, when the 1995 Honda Accord in which Hottle was a passenger veered off the road and collided with a culvert. Authorities investigating the crash have indicated that excessive speed may have played a role in the accident.
Hottle was transported to a nearby trauma center following the crash, but despite medical efforts, she was pronounced dead.
